The straightforward one
Bluesky charges nothing per post, chains self-replies into real threads, and does not put an app behind a review queue. It is the network where scheduling is exactly as simple as it sounds, which makes it a good place to see what postfast actually does before you connect anything harder.
Character counting on Bluesky is done in graphemes rather than UTF-16 code units, which means a post full of emoji or combining characters counts differently there than it does in most editors. postfast warns near the boundary rather than blocking, because a count three over may well publish and refusing it would be a guess overruling the person who wrote the post.

How connecting works
- An app password, never your account password. Create an app password in your Bluesky settings and paste it in. postfast exchanges it for a session, and the app password can be revoked from Bluesky at any time without touching your account.
- Sealed at rest. The session credentials are encrypted under the application secret and never returned by any endpoint.
- Any handle. Connection is by handle, so a custom-domain handle works the same way a bsky.social one does.

- Do I need to give postfast my Bluesky password?
- No. You create an app password in Bluesky’s settings and paste that. It is scoped, revocable from Bluesky, and never your account password.
- Does postfast support Bluesky threads?
- Yes, natively. A thread is chained through self-replies exactly as Bluesky models it, published in order, and resumed rather than restarted if a part fails.
- Does scheduling to Bluesky cost credits?
- No. X is the only network in postfast that meters per post, because it is the only one whose API charges per post.
